PIPE SPOOL
MQ Co., Ltd. has expertise in manufacturing various types of special material pipe spools.

LNG CARGO PIPE SPOOL(SUS304L/316L)
This is part of the LNG transfer piping in the Cargo System of LNG carriers or storage facilities. It is used for loading/unloading/transferring LNG in cryogenic environments (-163°C).
It is manufactured with cryogenic materials, using special materials such as high corrosion-resistant stainless steel, Inconel, or duplex steel. After manufacturing according to IGC Code, leak and pressure tests are performed to verify welding quality.

Duplex, SuperDuplex Stainless Steel Pipe Spool
It is manufactured from stainless steel with a mixture of two microstructures: Austenite and Ferrite. It is used in production piping (PFP) of offshore platforms, seawater lines, high-pressure transfer pipe risers, and features excellent corrosion resistance to seawater and high tensile strength.
It has nearly twice the strength of regular stainless steel, allowing for reduced pipe thickness, and has advantages of being resistant to chloride corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.

TITANIUM PIPE SPOOL(Gr.2/Gr.5)
Special material pipe spools using premium alloys such as titanium, zirconium, and copper-nickel, featuring excellent corrosion resistance, lightweight properties, and high strength. They perform optimally in extreme environments including marine, chemical, and power generation plants. MQ Co., Ltd. primarily uses Gr.2 (99.99% pure titanium) and Gr.5 (Ti+6Al-4V) grades.
They provide superior durability compared to regular stainless steel in seawater environments, chemical processing facilities, and power plants. Being 50% lighter than regular metals, they are easy to install and have extreme corrosion resistance that withstands strong corrosive substances like seawater, sulfuric acid, and hydrochloric acid. They maintain stable characteristics at both high and low temperatures.

NAVAL SHIP PIPE SPOOL(SUS304L/316L)
These are pipes used in special vessels including battleships, submarines, and naval ships, which are small, heavy, and present high manufacturing difficulty. They are mainly used for crew sanitation, water supply, fire protection systems, chemical fluids, lubricants, fuel, and steam piping.
Stainless steel piping is used for some electromagnetic interference prevention and static electricity response, performing excellently in corrosive environments such as seawater and moisture, having long maintenance cycles, and maintaining stable characteristics at both high and low temperatures.

DOUBLE WALL PIPE SPOOL(316L/Inconel, Duplex)
This is a system used when hazardous materials, cryogenic substances, high temperatures, harmful gases, and liquids need to be transported safely. It consists of a double-pipe structure with an inner pipe and an outer pipe.
It is applied to SYSTEMS that prevent accidents in advance by having the outer pipe block any leakage of internal fluid. It is used in DF engine piping, chemical plants, offshore plants, LNG vessels, and refinery facilities, and is utilized for LNG fluid transfer, toxic fluids, corrosive chemicals, steam, and radioactive fluids.

Additional Pipe Spool Products
These are control and discharge systems used to release gas within LNG/LPG systems. Commonly utilized as safety equipment in LNG storage and transfer systems on ships and industrial plants, they ensure the safe release of boil-off gas (BOG) or residual gas into the atmosphere.
Components : VENT HEADER, STACK, VALVE, FLAME ARRESTOR, GAS DETECTOR, DRAIN&PURGE SYSTEM
These are transition components used to change pipe diameters in LNG systems, also referred to as reducers. In systems handling cryogenic fluids like LNG (−162℃), which are under high pressure and high risk, highly precise and reliable construction is essential.
Applications : Connecting pipes with different diameters, controlling flow rate and pressure, and linking the outlet of LNG storage tanks
EGR GAS PIPE, COOLER PIPE(316L, DUPLEX)
In internal combustion engines—particularly diesel and LNG/marine engines—the EGR system is used to redirect a portion of the exhaust gas back into the intake system. This process is designed to reduce NOx and SOx emissions.
In compliance with IMO environmental regulations, exhaust gas generated during engine operation is redirected through an EGR valve into the intake line. The gas is cooled via an EGR cooler to lower its temperature before re-entering the combustion chamber, thereby suppressing NOx formation. We offer custom fabrication of piping using special materials suitable for this system.
